When Domestic Violence Goes to Work Conference
If you think domestic violence is none of your business, you’re dead wrong. Homicide is the second leading cause of death for women in the workplace. Domestic violence doesn’t always stay at home – it can explode at work. Be proactive and learn how to avert workplace tragedies like the recent stabbing of a fifth grade teacher by her estranged husband in front of her students last month.
Hosted by PADV, the sixth annual “When Domestic Violence Goes to Work” conference will address how to create a safer workplace, how to develop a domestic violence policy and when to involve law enforcement.
Don’t miss Vincent J. Bove, board certified crime prevention specialist and spokesperson for the families of the victims of the Virginia Tech shootings. According to Bove, the conference keynote speaker, “The Virginia Tech tragedy was a crisis in leadership. The time for task forces and politically expedient responses is over. It is time for action.”
