No woman is to be denied admission on the basis of race, religion, national
origin, inability to speak English, immigration status, political affiliation,
disability, pregnancy, or sexual orientation, nor shall she be deprived
of any rights solely by reason of her involvement with any other agency.
PADV staff and volunteers are considered mandatory child-abuse reporters
under the law, and any violence or abuse of a person under the age of
18 is considered child abuse. That means if a juvenile calls and identifies
herself and reveals information that leads us to suspect or to know
that violence/abuse has occurred, we must report it. However, if a juvenile
calls and does not reveal her identity and discusses these issues, we
cannot report it because we dont know who the person is.
